Tired
Some days we have to dig deep within to get it done, no matter what the goal is.
Last night I was woken up by my daughter, she had thrown up on her bed, on the floor and yet managed to get a little in the toilet...poor thing. So I got her cleaned up, stripped the bed, laid down some new blankets and got her back to sleep as I cleaned up the rest of the mess. So when the alarm finally went off at 6am needless to say I was dragging, but managed to get up and get the day started. Got the kids to school with the help of the wife, choked down my breakfast and headed to the bed for a quick nap. After about a 2 minute "get your butt up" pep talk from my wife I was out the door to the gym. Leg day, now I don't mind leg day but the hack squat can kiss my @$#!!! But I got it done and eating getting ready for class. Still have 2 classes and a client to get through today, so no nap for me. Some days you just have to find that extra oomph to get you through.... so are you gonna get it done today or let some half ass excuse stand in your way???

One of those days.
I can already tell it's going to be one of those days where I may have had it planned out in my head to go one way, and well it's going the complete opposite. Day started out good though, waking up next to my beautiful wife, goofing around with the kiddos as I took them to school. The plan was to eat, hit the gym, meet with contractors, fix our busted toilet (I broke it, apparently tripping and landing all 260 lbs into it can crack porcelain), take the wife to see a play tonight. Well already missed the gym, there will be no time later to fix the toilet but we will be going to the play later... Not that I'm into theater but I have a to write a critique for one of my classes. Yeah! So what do you do when life throws a curve ball or two? I say swing anyway. I mean we are all here for only a little while and we can throw a fit and complain about the bad pitch or we can swing for the fences and hope for the best. I like to do a combination of the two, swing away and then gripe when I strike out. Well I need to go eat again so hopefully will have more to say later.

A work in progress
No matter if it's being a parent, a husband, a friend, bodybuilder, or what I'm still a work in progress. I have my goals I work hard to achieve, whether it's gaining another 20 pounds of mass, making sure to take time out to appreciate my kids and wife, working on my degree or opening our gym...I keep my nose to the grind just trying to do better today than what I did yesterday.

Just me
Like Shrek said, "Ogres are like onions", I guess you can say so am I. I'm a christian, a husband, a father, a personal trainer, a nutrition coach, bodybuilder, student, all wrapped into one. This is going to be my little journey as I try to balance it all. Trying to keep a balance in my faith, my family, education, business, and my pursuit of my pro card. I can't promise it's going to be exciting, full of thrills, but I can promise you a few laughs now and then. So pull up a chair and have a seat....it's going to be an interesting journey.
